Heulwen Trust Sponsorship

The Heulwen Trust based in Welshpool, just a mile away from Coed-y-dinas is a remarkable charity ran by passionate volunteers whose aim is to bring enjoyment and pleasure to disabled children and adults.

Charlies are extremely proud to have sponsored the Heulwen Trust with a donation of £5,000 to help with the running and maintenance of the boats to ensure that they can continue with the fantastic work they do in making many children and adults extremely happy.

The Heulwen Trust offers exciting scenic canal boat trips through some of the most beautiful Welsh countryside. Special schools, hospitals and elderly care homes are just some of the organisations that keep the two canal boats in very high demand. To date over 45,000 people with disabilities have enjoyed free daily trips.

The Heulwen Trust also arranges the annual Welshpool Country & Western Festival.  This year the festival is on the 15^th, 16^th and 17^th July at Powis Castle grounds. Visit the Website at http://www.countrywestern.org.uk/
